MANY RACE FORMULAS SPECIFY THE NEED FOR REVERSE AND GENERAL DRIVING IS MADE SIMPLER WITH THE ABILITY TO BACK UP.

WE USE THE ELECTRIC SYSTEMS MAINLY AS THEY PLAY NO PART IN THINGS WHILST DRIVING FORWARDS

THEREFORE THERE ARE NO POWER LOSSES OR MECHANICAL BACKLASH. 

Please note this is a standard High Torque reduction gear starter motor which has been modified for use as a Reverse gear motor as found on many motorbike engined kit cars. The direction of rotation of this unit is Clockwise.

Note : The rotation is always determined when looking directly at the pinion gear and not when viewed from the back.

Also Note : If you are using this with our mounting boss, you will need to drill the mounting holes on the motor to 12mm to accomodate our M12 mounting boss thread.
