When attempting to connect an AIM Strada MXS dashboard to a Hayabusa Gen 2 engine using 3rd party engine management, the ECU may not have a Gear Position connection into the ECU.
Example - MBE 9A4 with a generation 1 engine loom. - This ECU combination doesn't have a gear position plug so the ECU doesn't know what gear you are in.
In this scenario, the AIM Strada MXS needs to be configured to display the data from the GPOS on the screen.
To do this, the following wiring needs to be setup, then a custom mV value needs to be added for each gear.
Notice, Pin 9 and 5 from the AIM need a pull up 2k resistor.
Pin 5 to the GPOS Pink Wire
Pin 7 to the GPOS Black Wire
In the AIM Race Studio, configure the Gear Display to be "Gear Voltage" on analogue input 2.
